A desert garden

May 6, 2007—I came to Pancho Villa State Park at just the right time, it seems: everything is in bloom. Although located in the middle of the desert, this park is a garden right now. If you've never seen a Southwestern spring—I hadn't!—here's how one looks. All these photos were taken within a hundred feet of my campsite.
